A wood engraving from The Four Hedges, by Clare Leighton
Celebrate Spring! Please visit the library and view some of the early editions of books related to birds from the permanent collection of the library.
In the Rare Book Room window are books with beautiful radiant prints produced by chemolithography.
The double elephant folio of the Julius Bien edition of The Birds of America is featured with a new book written about Audubon.
Citizen Bird, by Mary Osgood Wright, founder of The Birdcraft Museum in Fairfield, as well as special selections from Bird Lore edited by Frank M. Chapman are on display.
Nineteenth Century books about birds written for children are in the small case.
