Pequot Library's
Summer Reading program:

This program is open to pre-readers through readers entering twelfth grade. Sign up to drive your Chariot and travel the ancient world. Each minute you read keeps your chariot going forward. Meet some Greek gods and goddesses along the way, as they direct you to your prizes. Collect awards and new books all summer. |

Group A--Friday: May 30; 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Group B—Wednesdays: May 28; 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Don’t cook – discuss a book!! Did you miss a classic with your children? This is a chance to share it with your family and others for an informal, “pizza-eating”, on-the-floor rap session.
(Please call the Children’s Dept. for title selections)
Registration required. Sign up in the Children’s Room. 259-0346, ext. 1 |

Parade down Pequot Avenue, starting at the Five Corners in Southport Village and ending at Pequot Library. All decorated bikes, scooters, and wagons, etc. are welcome - rain or shine. The parade culminates with races and games on the Great Lawn. Fraiche Restaurant will be on hand selling hot dogs, and the ice cream truck will be coming by as well!

Enter the Family Heritage Recipe Contest with a recipe that has been in your family for a long time (kids can help!) and win "dinner out". Drop it off at the judging and display tables on the lawn before the parade begins. Please bring a copy of the recipe for display.
